Menter Iaith Sir Caerffili is seeking a dynamic and inspirational Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation into its next stage of development. Menter Caerffili is now a leading organisation in the region, delivering a wide range of Welshmedium services and opportunities in the community to use the Welsh language. It employs over 65 members of staff with a turnover of more than £1 million. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape, develop and deliver strategic work that increases the use and profile of the Welsh language across the communities of Caerphilly County Borough.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and manage Menter Caerffili strategically and operationally
- Manage and support staff, budgets and governance
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships at local, regional and national levels
- Secure funding and raise the profile of Menter Caerffili
- Empower communities to live, work and socialise through the Welsh language
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience of leading a project, programme, team or organisation at a senior level
- Excellent communication skills in Welsh and English
- An understanding of community development and language planning
- The ability to work independently and strategically
Location: Menter Caerffili’s office in Ystrad Mynach, with a requirement to travel across communities in Caerphilly County Borough and the opportunity to work from home.
Hours: 37 per week (flexibility required)
